The World Wide Web is a collection of millions of pages of information viewable with
software
called a web browser. The two most common examples are Netscape
Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. These pages may include
everything from the latest news headlines to someone's vacation photos
made
available for everyone on the Internet to view.
You can move from one web page to another by clicking on a hyperlink.
A text hyperlink is always in a different color,
and usually appears as
underlined text like this.
Clicking on a hypertext link will take you to another web page.
But stay
on your toes, because it doesn't always have to be underlined:Try it! Note
that the link
changes color once you have
visited it. That helps you keep track of where you've
been.
