Chip, a soldier in Iraq, wrote to his mom describing terrible conditions for children in the area of Iraq where they are at. He said he gave them a ball to play with and how happy it made them and asked his family to send inflatable or lightweight balls for the soldiers to pass out to the children. (soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc as well). St. Luke's WELCA is collecting such items and will be mailing them to this soldier to distribute. Below is a picture of Chip in Iraq.
